Peter Hotz, founder and principal architect of Cobalt Design Group, is a professionally educated designer and architect with over 30 years of experience in all phases of architectural practice.
For 20 of those years he has conducted his own architectural practice specializing in unique custom residences. He maintains current registrations to practice architecture in Virginia, Maryland, Pennslyvania, and Florida. In addition to designing many homes in these states, he has also provided architectural services for custom residences in Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Vermont.
Mr Hotz is a corporate member of the Northen Virginia chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Virginia Society of the AIA, and a founding member of the Northern Virginia Chapter, AIA. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the National AIA Housing Committee, a professional member of the Southern Building Code Congress International, and a regular speaker at the National Association of Home Builders annual convention. From 1985 to 1989 he conducted seminars for the American Home Building Institute on how to design and build your own home.
