COBALT DESIGN GROUP was founded by Peter Hotz, a member of the American Institute of Architects, to provide quality architectural services to clients interested in unique custom homes.
Within each of us is a special concept of "home." The greatest accomplishment for an architect is to discover what constitutes that sense of home for each client and to describe it in drawings and specifications such that it can be constructed precisely and accurately. For the past 30 years, Peter Hotz has been doing exactly that, having had the privilege of being the architect for over 100 homes that completely fulfilled clients' needs and desires.
Mr. Hotz has developed a unique system to realize the essence of each client's home design within a reasonable time schedule. After finalizing the design, clients are encouraged to select a qualified builder before the construction documents are prepared. This enables the three parties - Owner, Architect, and Builder - to work together to produce a successful home on time and within budget.
The architectural services provided by Cobalt Design Group are always tailored to meet each client's needs, and only those services which are required are provided. After an initial free consultation, a proposal is prepared for the acceptance of the client. Fees for each phase of service are quoted as a fixed amount, not hourly or as a percentage of the construction cost. Through good design and careful documentation, the cost of architectural services is more than recouped in the total project cost.
